Description: An extremely competent painting done in the third quarter of the 19th c. of Washington after the Gilbert Stuart portrait. Painted on a hand planed wooden panel, it is untouched & still housed in what appears to be its original gessoed & gilded wooden frame. 11" x 9½" framed to 15½" x 13½". Condition: Painting is in very good condition, frame has minimal gilding discoloration and minor chips. |
