Description: Dutch-born artist Alma-Tadema spent most of his career in England & painted semi-nudes set against the backdrop of daily life in ancient Rome, Greece, etc. In this note, he informs a Mr. Halle that his "papers, duly signed have been forwarded to the Sec.of the R. A.". Alma-Tadema had served on the Royal Academy Committee for 31 years. On a 3 1/2 " x 4 1/2 " imprinted card.
