Description: This brass, silvered metal & mahogany plaque is housed in a period shadowbox and was "Presented to the National Brewer's Academy by the Class of 1910-11". The Academy was founded by Dr. Francis Wyatt in New York City in 1887 and served as a scientific station for the American Society of Brewing Chemists. This plaque came from the estate of Emil Schlichting who was a teacher at the Academy from 1907 to 1932. Metal is stamped "Dieges & Clust", a John Street, New York City jewelry wholesaler & metal maker. Overall 17 1/2 " x 15 1/2 " and weighs about 12 pounds.

Condition: Some roughness to the edges of the shadowbox, otherwise fine.
