Description: Thomas B. Chandler wrote this 1774, 55 page pamphlet titled "A Friendly Address to All Reasonable Americans, on the Subject of Our Political Confusion; in Which the Necessary Consequences of Violently Opposing the King's Troops, and of the General Non-Importation Are Fairly Stated" as an attempt to sway public opinion in opposition to a revolution. This piece is sometimes attributed to Myles Cooper, but it is generally attributed to Chandler, as he wrote several such phamplets. 8" x 5". Condition: Disbound, wraps soiled, front and back wrap repaired (small pieces missing from both), faint previous owner stamp on first page, interior has some scattered foxing and staining. Interior has no writing or marks. |
