Description: A charming early 19th century tole tobacco box decorated with the motto: "Plenty to the Benevolent". The 1806 Toastmaster's Guide lists among its toasts: "Plenty to the Benevolent and Poverty to the Miser". 6" x 3 1/2 " x 1 1/8" deep.
Condition: A few spots of paint loss and a bit of tape residue, generally very good. |
