Description: It was in 1839 that the first photographic patents were issued to Louis Daguerre. We offer a 1/6 plate (3 ¼" x 2 ¾") sensitive daguerreian portrait of a young seated girl. She stares intently and has a rather furrowed brow. The image is housed in its original embossed leather hinged case. Condition: This document should be considered in very good condition.
