This 9" x 7" oil painting is done on artist board labelled from Schussler Bros., San Francisco. Fonda (1864-1942) was born is Marysville, CA and is known for his lumious coastal scenes and Monterey Peninsula landscapes. Condition: Painting is in "as found" condition and appears to have a fairly heavy coat of old varnish. Could use a cleaning, but paint surface is in very good condition. Newly framed in an Arts & Crafts-style gilded frame. |
